Biography
Pastor Mike Ray
Pastor Mike Ray was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He accepted Christ as his Saviour in February of 1970. Not long after, he sensed God's call to preach the Gospel, and he has been doing so faithfully ever since.
After earning ministry degrees, Pastor Ray served as a youth pastor at his home church in Baton Rouge before accepting the call to pastor in California. His passion in life is seeing people come to know Jesus Christ personally and grow as disciples in a local New Testament church.
Planting HopeWell Baptist Church of New Orleans has been a vision close to Pastor Ray's heart for a long time. With a deep love for Louisiana and a burden for the souls of this city and surrounding areas, he is committed to seeing a genuine, Bible-preaching church take root and flourish in the New Orleans area. He is supported in this new work by a team of experienced, godly local pastors who share the same vision for reaching New Orleans with the Gospel.
